Description

As financial controller you will work closely with our senior financial controller. Your work will incorporate periodic performance reporting to Retail Banking’s Management Team, ALM and Managing Board. Annual budgeting is another task that you will be working on. But more importantly your analytical skills will be put to good use in a wide range of requests, such as forecasting, explanation of results and quantitative support to (new) business cases. Your primary clients will be Retail Banking’s Management Team and Executive Board Member. And last but not least you will be the point of contact with our accounting department.

You will work within Retail Banking, thus closely to the dynamics of the day-to-day business. You will gain an overview of the entire Retail department in the Netherlands, Germany and Belgium. You will not work on a tiny piece of a huge complex puzzle within a big corporation, but see the direct impact of what you do in the firm and its customers. You will be able to build your own network within the organisation and gain responsibilities rather quickly.

Job Description:

Summary

NIBC Retail Banking is looking for a new junior Financial Controller in the Portfolio Management team.

Retail Banking

Retail Banking is one of our three core activities within NIBC Bank. We offer mortgages and online savings in the Netherlands, Germany and Belgium via our Originate to hold, Originate to manage, Buy-to-Let and Savings platforms.

Retail Banking distinguishes itself as a dynamic and ambitious but at the same time a no-nonsense and informal department. Our department incorporates various disciplines such as Marketing, Sales, Asset Management, Structuring, ALM, Arrears Management, just to name a few. The advantage of working within Retail is that you will get to know these teams and colleagues very quickly and closely in an easy going way which will broaden your own knowledge and competences and provides you with the overview needed for your performance. But moreover, you will see direct impact of your own contribution.

We have organized our Financial Control within Portfolio Management. This team is responsible for the first line risk management. It executes funding and hedging for our portfolios, performs credit risk modelling, monitoring and reporting, determines the pricing for our mortgage portfolio, data analytics and financial control.
